You're right, and I'm trying my best by asking others who may be part of the group(s) in question on how to handle things I'm unsure about, and I've seen other mods do the same.

While I don't have the context, it's possible that the mod in question got overwhelmed at the time, as there's an unfortunate number/very loud minority of transphobes, and the only way to stop that is to have multiple mods on at all times. I hope the incidents in which posts from trans nonas have been cut short due to trolling have decreased since we've gotten new mods, at least.
