i would like to know what mod decided to have a huge fight with me in the wiffu discord about a modding decision i had no part in, why they wouldn't tell me who they were, and whether or not this is acceptable behavior from a mod

i was asked to post here by one of the mods (i think? i'm still not sure who on the discord is a comm mod vs just in charge of the discord)

someone posted an anon comment to the discourse thread about a conversation that happened in the trans discord. i posted it in the deletion thread and pinged the mods in the wiffu discord. then a mod who wouldn't identify themselves (i was later informed by a third party that this was frogmod, again i don't know anything about discord so i was having trouble figuring out who was who) started arguing with me about it in the chat

the whole thing has been really fucked and i'm honestly floored that any of the mods would think it's acceptable to drag conversations from the trans server to the discourse thread for cis nonas to gawk at and comment on, much less fight me on it when i asked that it be deleted. it wasn't a vague comment about what was discussed, it was straight up about the nona trans server. it's an intracommunity issue and again unless i'm mistaken frogmod is cis so they REALLY should not be fighting w/ trans nonas about this

on the whole this really broke a lot of trust i have in the mods

That is absolutely not how this is being treated and I'm sorry if it comes off that way. This whole discussion has become a real minefield and I honestly don't think there is going to be a consensus reached in the community as a whole let alone on wiffu. It's not a subject not worth discussing or not allowed to be discussed but for now I think it would be best to drop it until things have at least had a moment to cool.

just posting here to say that i've contacted the op offsite to go over some of the details and this issue is currently being discussed in the mod chat. for now i'm going to freeze this thread to prevent it being dragged out more than it already has, but i'll give a longer response once the mods have reached a resolution on how we're going to handle this.
