i didn't answer that nona because i felt that i really shouldn't have to outline that random ot c/p doesn't belong in a fandom comm and didn't want an argument which imo, they were angling for. if i was mistaken then i'm sorry

those are two threads, out of all the one's we've answered which isn't nearly the same as what happened in the metathread

we have c/p about all kinds of random stuff that isn't strictly fandom and you guys were straight up calling math a fandom at one point, can you blame anyone for not understanding what the line is when the line has never been consistent to begin with

imo, there's a difference between "math is a fandom" in the context of talking about how you like academia/studying/famous mathmeticians even and just c/ping a random article about skyscrapers

we'll try to be clearer but as a rule of thumb if it's just a random contextless article unrelated to fandom it'll be deleted. i don't want to have strict what is or what isn't ot debates because we've already done that and it was pointless, tedious, and mostly up to mod discretion

k but this is literally the problem with the lack of mod communication, you guys decide which is an issue worth addressing and it takes two or three people to make it clear that the rules really do need some explaining, can you get how that's frustrating
