i can certainly see why it would appear like i deleted it because it was modsed, which is why i immediately explained the actual reason for why i deleted it to clear up the misunderstanding as fast as possible and make the mod position on the comment clear.

what i don't understand however is the obstinate position you're putting forth here. yes, i saw the mod call, parented up, decided both comments were not acceptable/deleteworthy and proceeded to delete the entire thread. that doesn't automatically mean that i agreed with the mod call and letting deleteworthy comments stay up just because trolls mods them for the wrong reasons (which happens fairly regularly with wank) is certainly not a policy that we've ever implemented on wiffu, regardless of the topic.

let me be very frank: this is exactly what we were talking about when we tried to explain why engaging in modding discussions is so exhausting these days because we are immediately put on the defensive. being upset at the initial comment deletion for what it seemed to signify is absolutely understandable! continuing to accuse me of lying even when an explanation was given is not. i have always been happy to apologize for genuinely fucking up in the past but i don't want to engage with nonas on a level where i feel i should be ready to grovel for every assumed misstep because that's not at all conductive or helpful-- for either side. i can't stress enough that good faith engagement goes both ways.
